I'll wait a bit to see if anyone else takes a guess but I'm thinking it's named after a Dutchman, used to be called by a name reminiscent of an early Madonna song, one of its cousins has an alliterative popular name, and another cousin has a head for piano keys. -------------------- Clean water makes for happy fish!

QUOTE HUH? Won't give it away just yet, but the cousin with an alliterative name is midnight mloto (the 2 m's an example of alliteration, a poetic device using successive words begining with the same consonant) and the cousin associated to piano keys is ivory head mloto. As far as the popular name associated to an early Madonna song, according to several sources it's either the popular name or an earlier name for this fish, but I've seen more than one fish called by the same name and really trust only the latin name to Id this fish. Come to think of it, the first name of the Dutchman I'm thinking of would be alliterative with Madonna... and midnight mloto. -------------------- Clean water makes for happy fish!
